Marketplace, peer-to-peer (P2P), and investment platforms are different types of online platforms that serve different purposes. A marketplace platform is a platform that connects buyers and sellers, or borrowers and lenders. It facilitates transactions between the two parties, but it doesn't own the products or services being sold. A P2P platform, on the other hand, connects individuals directly with each other for transactions, cutting out the middleman. It can be used for a variety of purposes, such as lending money, renting out properties, or buying and selling goods. An investment platform is a platform that allows users to invest in a variety of assets, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds or loans. These platforms may offer tools and resources to help users make informed investment decisions.
An Investment Brokerage Firm (IBF) license is a type of license that allows a company to operate as a broker-dealer in the securities industry. This license is issued by a regulatory authority; in Nectaro’s case, the license is issued by the Bank of Latvia. To obtain an IBF license, a company must meet certain requirements and undergo a rigorous application process. The license also comes with a set of rules and regulations to which the company must adhere in order to maintain its license and operate in a compliant manner.
Financial regulation is good for investors for several reasons:
- Protection against fraud and scams
- Preventing market manipulation
- Increased transparency
- Fair competition
- Maintaining stability
Overall, financial regulation helps create a level playing field for investors and ensures that financial markets are fair, transparent, and stable. By protecting investors from fraud and scams, promoting transparency, and ensuring fair competition, financial regulation helps investors make more informed decisions and reduces the risk of financial loss.
